J.T.M. Food Group Offers Vaccinations to Employees at its Harrison Campus

In an effort to streamline the process for its 500+ employees, J.T.M. partners with Mercy Health and the City of Harrison to offer onsite COVID-19 vaccinations.

HARRISON, OHIO – MARCH 30, 2021 – J.T.M. Food Group, one of Greater Cincinnati’s iconic brands, has partnered with Mercy Health to distribute Covid-19 vaccination shots on-site at its campus in Harrison. The Pfizer vaccine has been made available to every J.T.M. employee and first doses were administered on March 23, with hundreds of team members signing up for the program.

“Our team is the lifeblood of J.T.M. and always has been,” said Jack Hart, VP of Operations and Food Safety for J.T.M. Food Group. “Making vaccines available for all team members who want one is good for our people, good for our community and good for business. We know many people have had challenges getting vaccinations scheduled, so we are gratified to see so many of our colleagues take advantage of this opportunity and do their part.”

The on-site vaccinations continue J.T.M.’s proactive and aggressive approach to keeping its employees and community as safe as possible during the pandemic. From industry-leading cleaning and sanitization protocols to rigorous testing/screening, onsite nurses, increased employee paid time off and ongoing employee communications, J.T.M. has been committed and vigilant every step of the way to ensure the quality and safety of its products was never compromised.

“It’s our responsibility to care for our customers by meeting the highest safety standards and care for the people who are part of our team,” said Tony Maas, president and chief executive officer of J.T.M. Food Group. “Our team members are more than just employees. They have families and friends to take care of. They make up the churches, schools and neighborhoods in our community. Vaccinating them keeps them safer and makes all of these different parts of our community safer as well. We’re very proud to be headquartered in Harrison and proud to serve the people and families who serve us so well every single day.”

As a “thank you” to employees who get vaccinated, J.T.M. is offering free tickets for an upcoming 2021 Cincinnati Reds game, t-shirts, door prizes and a raffle chances for premium prizes once their second doses of the vaccine are received. That second dose for employees is scheduled for April 20, 2021 at J.T.M., and Mercy Health, along with, the Harrison Fire Department will again be on hand to administer vaccines and monitor patients afterwards.

“From the beginning, managing through this pandemic has been a team effort and our employees have been amazing,” added Tony Maas. “Here’s another opportunity for all us to make our community safer and stronger, and our team members have again stepped up in a big way.”
